Hot-Flash-Cure

Here's how I found a natural hot-flash-cure that might help you too! Just realize I"m not a health professional so try this at your own risk or consult a doctor who deals with supplements, especially those from Standard Process.

About 6 months ago I started getting some serious hot flashes. I guess it was about time as I'm in my mid forties. John has predicting my "going through the change" for about ten years. Every time his diagnosis was wrong as I'd get pregnant. This time I had real hot flashes and some not very nice personality changes at times. I tend to be pretty sweet and easy to deal with but my temper would just flare out of the blue.

I mentioned these changes to my chiropractor Dr. Rankin and he painted a circle, not quite the size of my palm on my arm right below the inside crock of my elbow, with 2% iodine. You should be able to get this at a drug store.Dab with a cotton ball.

I was to report back on how fast the bright colored circle faded. I guess your body will absorb the iodine if you are deficient. My circle was gone in about 24 hours.

By muscle testing Dr. Rankin determined that I needed to take some Prolamine Iodine, 5 tablets a day for now. He recommended the Standard Process brand and it's been working well. I took the Prolamine Iodine for several months and then when I ran out I got another big hot flash.

I restocked and made sure I always have an unopened bottle in reserve as my hubby is also taking Iodine for his thyroid. I continued to take the isodine for a while and now when I skip doses, I've missed about 2 weeks straight, hot flashes haven't been a problem.

Update: Last Thursday we checked out a new Dr. in Idaho Falls, Dr. Orchard. He did some muscle testing on John and me. Hurray! I only need to take one Iodine one day a week now! He cut down the vitamins I was taking to a reasonable number so I don't end up leaving out the last ones every day :)
